We have been trying to decide what sign to use for Bella's name in sign language. Gabi loved music from the very beginning, so we make the letter G while signing "music" for Gabi's name. Bella is most interested in climbing and physical exploration, so perhaps we'll use game, sport, athletic, Olympic, play, gymnast, or even wiggle worm.
Last Thursday was Gabi's registration for her new school, and she was looking forward to seeing her new classroom. She will take gymnastics at school on Wednesdays, and the gym teacher gave her two stamps, which Gabi definitely liked. Then Gabi went to play on the playground with some other kids (including a little girl in her class named Grey) while I signed up for everything else. When I finished registration, I found her (and the other kids) watching a Diego show. She threw a fit when I pulled her away from the TV. She wanted to see her new classroom, but she did NOT want to meet her new teacher. She got upset again when she wasn't allowed to stay and play in the classroom, so as I tried to gently direct her out of the classroom (while holding Annabelle, and with Gabi yelling not to hold her hand) a neighboring teacher offered her some candy... but Gabi refused to say "Thank you" nicely, so I gave the candy back. Of course that prompted another HUGE fit just as Gabi's teacher returned to the classroom... and she was still crying and screaming when one of Michael's parents' good friends came to say hello and wanted to meet Gabi. I would have loved to get out of the school quickly, but Annabelle threw up all over my foot and the floor, so I had to wait for some paper towels and clean that up first. I do hope the first day of school goes more smoothly than registration.
Annabelle proceeded to spend the rest of the day vomiting because she loves to eat and doesn't know when she's full. We were able to end the day on a good note, though, with a free trip to Wild River Country with Daddy's co-workers. Gabi had fun riding the Side Winder ride and splashing in the kiddie pool, and Bella liked bouncing in the jumperoos in the baby pool until she was too tired and just needed to be held. Michael and I took turns with the kids so we could each have a chance to ride the big-people slides with our friends Andrew and Jenny.

Consider Bella's 'sign' to be her initial with the sign for 'smile' since she always has such a huge grin on her face. I love that smile.
